Hello, for a little while now I have been wishing I could send a few lines of text to dotclear and have it post a quick little update as a widget, not a full entry in the usual sense. Similar to twitter in purpose for updates, observations, notices, thoughts, rants/raves, etc...
If I use a url, tinyurl service shortens it for space. The only button besides "publish" and "cancel" would be a media chooser, If I have an image to show, and even then tinyurl can shorten the direct path to that image too.
It wouldn't need the full on text entry formatting block. What you type is what you get. There's no need, it just a quick shot of text "What I'm doing right now" kind of plugin.
Is this something that sounds cool or should I shut up and go color something?

Disregard or delete this please. I just found the twitter widget that does the same thing I was asking for. Sorry.
