OpenID is an open standard that allows users to authenticate to websites without having to create a new password. This plugin lets you use your blog address as the OpenID username, delegating the authentication requests to another provider.
You can create an account on a free OpenID provider, for example myOpenID, and delegate authentication. This way, if you want to change your provider, your OpenID username will stay the same: your blog's URL.
This delegation is done by adding headers to your homepage, and this plugin generates them.
